So it is summer, my pc died, but! I still have a decent lap top, so seeing as spore is one of the few only games that play on it... I am playing spore again! So that is all! Nice being back and playing.

I would be happy to put a link in my siggy on other forums. I was reminded about this list the other day, and I think it's a great idea. I spent so much time playing, I didn't think about putting myself out there.
But if there's anything I can do to help or promote the site, let me know.
That's irrespective of whether or not you think my work "works" for the list.
With the exception of a very few creatures, everything out there has been developed in-game. I find the "art" creations beautiful, but typically they don't play well -- and I create by playing, therefore I build in-game creatures that also play well and look good too.
That includes my Battayn Huntmaster, which was selected 1st in GA Captain's Challenge. I was really proud that they selected this guy, who was developed through play on my Acer One Netbook with the 10" screen I also have a Toshiba x205, which is my main graphics machine.
I don't use cheats or mods. Just a personal preference. Life is easier that way. I've never had one of my creatures complained about. I rarely use templates or do derivative work -- that said, there is a willosaur take-off in my current creations XD.
I try to keep my derivations cleaned up as I go, and normally only keep the creature I make landfall with, maybe an early iteration if it's a really good one, the creature just before tribal, the tribe before civ, etc. I rarely go past creature, though. In 100+ planets (on three machines), probably 5 are tribal and only 2 have gone to space. The rest are at creature and will stay there.
So often, the planets are stunningly beautiful, and I enjoy roaming them. Since the creatures on the planet refresh, I enjoy meetiing the new species that turn up.
I hope my creatures interest you. Since I create things I want to play with myself, and I follow my own style, I expect to stayn in a similar vein (not wandering off into ghouls or zombies, etc.), and if I do, I'll use a different id. I would do that for myself, since I would want to keep the styles discreet. You see, I want variety in what I find on my planets, but I also want to see "decent" creatures, too.

Well might have been a sporecast, i dont really know. Anyway, seems there are soooo many groups on the spore forums these days, i have no idea what they are all about, and no wish to join any of them really. Maybe if a proper new PBL was made, but would need more active members than we ever got here for it to work properly.
But i guess its not so easy, when peoples creativity would have to be somewhat limited. A sporecast might be a better idea, but since there is no "sporecast only" option... or "sporecast+buddy only" then its kind of pointless.
And probably going to be hard, to compete with the sporecast already out there. I think most people playing dont really look for new sporecasts very often.
Oh, and yes, buy C&C, i'm sure you can find it cheap somewhere now
Welcome back! I have to admit... I don't really get too hung up on what our rules are (were?) anymore. There came a time when it seemed like there were only a few of us left creating... and everyone was breaking some rule or another.
As long as it's playable... it's OK by me. But I won't even promise playable anymore. Chances are good that anything I make will be, though.
Anywho... have fun!
Yeah, I'm not as hung up on the old rules either. It wouldn't be worth it to "scare" anyone off being part of a buddylist because they couldn't make certain content. I find that it's quite easy to "police" your own Game Sporepedia, as I check before and after each playing session what's been downloaded. If I see a walking tub-creature, I simply delete it from my computer and do not risk seeing it in game.
I've added a lot of new buddies that are not part of the PBL, and possibly never heard of it either.
What I am currently more interested in is actually knowing what my creatures are doing in other people's games, and giving comments to others who's creatures I encounter.
I am still disappointed in what the game Spore has to offer, but there is no denying the wonders of seeing the amazing stuff that people create with the different editors. That's what I'm enjoying more than anything else with this game atm.
I am kinda back also been creating a bit these last few days. Originally i didnt want to upload any to my manicmoose "account", started creating under an alias, but in the end, i uploaded all as manicmoose anyway
And yeah, this place seems dead... seems the spamming even stopped, thats when you know things have really gone downhill lol.
Will be interesting to see what people can do with the new expansion, last i heard it was coming out march 26, but wouldnt be surprised if the release is pushed back.
Edit: Oh and seems a new "PBL" was created... not really sure what it was about though, but i was added to it, someone told me in a comment.
Yeah, I am kind of curious about the new expansion. I haven't read much about it since I just re-entered Spore-mode in my gaming. As long as these new galactic missions are playable without the annoying constant random threats and attacks on your planet, I think it could be worth it.
The idea of getting your creature to set foot on all those different planets and walk around just like in creature stage (if that is in fact how it will be) is very appealing to me, as I enjoy creature stage the most in terms of exploration (the actual game play is very lacking). And, as a creative writer, coming up with interesting missions for people to experience sounds like a winner.
New PBL-list? Didn't see or hear anything about that. I saw something that appeared to be Sporecast only, which seems to have been created out of this (I believe Virakotxa was part of that?). But, I like using the Buddy Only option, and for some reason beyond my comprehension one can not use Sporecasts when using Buddy Only content.
Anyway... I am contemplating whether or not to head out to purchase the Creepy and Cute parts pack to have some fun creating brand new look creatures (and a lot of my new downloads can't be used without it...).
